I’m glad to see you! This is the blog of one extremely average small town American mid-forties woman on a journey of growth and reinvention. They say if you’re going to get cancer, thyroid cancer is the one to have. It wasn’t fun for me, as an 18-year-old who was (and still is) terrified of needles and all things medical.
Writing is therapy for me, and so I’ll feel all of the feelings while doing so. That doesn’t make everyone in my story a villain and me a saint. We’re all flawed because we’re all human.
The middle school years weren’t the easiest. Hairy legs, smelled like cow shit, pimples everywhere, I was a bit of a boy crazy weirdo.
